As its name suggests, Excel Workbook for Dummies is designed to give you the kind of hands on experience with all the major aspects of the program you need to start using the program for business or home with a certain degree of confidence and efficiency. As you’d expect from this type of book, the workbook is primarily composed of questions and exercises that give you plenty of opportunities to experience the purpose and benefits of Excel’s many features.
It’s my hope that as a result of doing the exercises in this workbook, you’ll not only be in firm command of the basic skills necessary to work with confidence in the Excel spreadsheet but also have a good idea of the overall power of the program through experience with its features beyond the spreadsheet.
This is a well written and easy to follow guide to excel. Covers all the basics, but be warned that you have to have the actual program to use the CD. My workplace has the program on the office computers and when I got an office position I wanted to brush up on Excel before I transferred, but since Excel is an expensive program I didn't own it on my home pc. So the CD wasn't much use. Was able to study the text and get some useful pointers and tips on shortcuts tho.
