It was after I gave (what I thought was) a well-received demo at Office DevCon in Redmond with Danny Khen, a program manager on the Excel Services team. I remember going through the parts of the demo: One of the first things I showed was how to extract a column of data from an Excel worksheet and utilize it in an ASP.NET application. The crowd applauded, which threw me off-guard because I thought I hadn’t really gotten to the cool part yet.
