Lovett is Associate Professor of Psychology and Education at Teachers College, Columbia University, where he teaches the history of psychology as well as courses in the school psychology program. Much of his research is on issues related to educational testing and clinical assessment, but his personal passion is the history of psychology. His first book, Testing Accommodations for Students with Disabilities, was published by the American Psychological Association in 2015. He is an active consulting psychologist and works with schools and testing agencies on assessment and disability issues.
