Groups of letters from General Gordon on the railway in Sudan; Sir Arthur Conan Doyle to Roc Cycle Co., from Edward Elgar and Sir William Ramsay. W.W.2 is represented with a letter of thanks from Neville Chamberlain to the Italian ambassador thanking him for his help with the infamous Munich Agreement; naval telegrams on the opening of war and the undercopy of the telex sent to Churchill informing him of Germany's unconditional surrender. Items from the Russian nobility with telegrams in the hand of Edward, Prince of Wales to Queen Victoria on his visit for the funeral of Tsar Alexander III and the marriage of Tsar Nicholas II.
