Helsinki, 1991. — 120 p.The present booklet offers an integrated synopsis of two separate dialectal varieties of Khamnigan Evenki, as spoken by the Khamnnigan in Manchuria. The material was gathered by the author during two field trips to northern Inner Mongolia, China, in 1990 and 1991. Since very little previous material has been available on Khamnigan Evenki, it is hoped that the information published now will provide a basis for a better understanding of the complicated linguistic and ethnohistorical circumstances in the ancient Transbaikalian contact zone of Mongolic and Tungusic.
