09. The European Standard EN 559:1994 has the status of a British Standard. 16р. This standard specifies requirements for rubber hoses for welding, cutting and allied processes. The term allied processes means, in particular, heating, brazing and metallization. Requirements for rubber hoses for normal duty and light duty [limited to hoses for maximum working pressure up to 1 MPa (10 bar) and with nominal bore less than or equal to 6,3 mm] are specified.
Different colours and markings are specified for identification of the gas.
